Birding enthusiasts can test their skill at identifying the 247 species that call Mariposa County home, and the fish are always biting at one of the many rivers, streams and lakes. For the more adventurous at heart, the Merced River offers world-class rafting and Yosemite National Park offers some of the most challenging rock climbing terrain in the world.
